Cookies Policy
Last updated: 5 April 2026
This Cookies Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Olympus uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Notice.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let sites remember your actions and preferences (like being signed in) over time. Similar technologies — such as browser localStorage — serve the same purpose and are covered by this policy.
2. What we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for the Service to function. Without them you could not sign in or complete a booking. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) we do not need your consent for strictly necessary storage.
- olympus_token (localStorage) — holds your signed authentication token so you stay logged in between visits. Expires when you log out or after 30 days.
- olympus_user (localStorage) — caches your name and email for instant header rendering. No sensitive fields.
- CSRF state cookie — short-lived cookie set during the Google OAuth sign-in handshake to prevent cross-site request forgery. Deleted immediately after sign-in completes.
Analytics
Olympus does not currently use analytics cookies or third-party analytics trackers. If we introduce analytics in the future we will update this page and, where required by law, ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
Marketing
Olympus does not use marketing or advertising cookies. We do not share any browsing data with ad networks.
3. Third parties
Some pages load resources from third parties (for example Google Fonts for typography and Stripe Elements on the checkout page). These providers may set their own cookies on your device according to their own policies. See our Privacy Notice for the full list of subprocessors.
4. Controlling cookies
You can clear cookies and localStorage at any time from your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary storage will prevent you from signing into Olympus. For browser-level controls, see the help pages for Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.
5. Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever our use of cookies changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
